About our Club
Although we are a new club, as players we've been around for years. Now we've come together to form our our own club taking over the men's bowling green and pavilion at Western Park, Leicester in November 2020.
We've formed a Petanque Club that involves the local community and surrounding areas to offer:

We are the largest purpose built facility in Leicestershire and have up to 24 floodlit terrains of various surfaces to test your ability. With our own private clubhouse and licensed members bar, we offer you a warm welcome whether you are a seasoned pro or just want to come and try your hand.

Come and join our club and get involved in as much or as little as you want to. You can be a member of another Petanque Club and still join our club.

We play competitively and socially and we advise our players to purchase a Petanque England Regional Petanque Licence with Central Petanque in order to play Regionally and Nationally. www.centralpetanque.co.uk
Social play is currently played on Thursday 6.30pm-9.00pm and on Saturday from 12.30pm until around 3.30pm

Where we are
Situated under 3 miles from Leicester city centre and only 10 minutes drive from M1 J21, we are ideally based to cater for the local pétanque community and those travelling from further afield.

Meet the Committee
John Edmondson
John has been playing for over 20 years and is a qualified coach and Umpire. He has represented the County, Region, England & GB at Petanque and is always up for a game but beware - he doesn't like losing!
Michelle Roe
Michelle has been playing over 25 years and is a qualified Coach. She has played for Leics County and East Midlands many times. Michelle's previous background as a Landlady comes in very handy looking after our members hospitality needs!
Allan Edwards
Allan has been playing for over 20 years and has played at County, Regional and represented England during this time. Allan's background in Finance will ensure our club keeps its finger on the pulse and moving along in the right direction
Club Membership
We invite you to join our club and enjoy the facilities and the experience we offer. Membership is from January 1st - December 31st and further details can be found on the membership page
A member can join Leicester Pétanque Club if:

They play league matches for another club*

Hold a Petanque England Licence with another club*

Only want to play socially or just enjoy the hospitality of the surroundings
